Life on board continuing

New hand weights
This is how I compensate for not having a rowing machine anymore.  For years.....& I do mean years.....I did 30 minutes a day on that thing.  6 short months into our new lifestyle & my muscle tone is disappearing, which I can't and won't have.  So, it's back to hand weights for about 30 minutes a day onboard.  I'm trying to be diligent about walking for an hour every day as well.

These things are going to make our travels fun!  Exploring new places is what it's all about.  The boat is our transport between those new places.

Addition to galley
Mr Man installed a momento from our house in the shape of a paper towel holder.  It's multi-tasking as a dishcloth drying rack.  I think the shelf will be emptied when we're sailing - either I'll empty it or the boat will.

MDNA
My latest fave walking CD - MDNA.

Turn it up loud.  I love it!

Washer Woman!

Ask me if my  life has changed?

Yes, marinas have laundry facilities - but do we really want to gear our lives towards finding a washateria?  When we go ashore, we want to do things other than laundry - but  maybe once a month for sheets & towels.  Besides, this is fun & a good work out.  My hands are really fit!

Solar panels installed

Genius at work again - Mr Man installed the solar panels which will keep the batteries charged up while we're away from shore power.

This means we can be at anchor & not run out of power!  Yipee!  Nav electronics, fridge, computers & kindles can all be kept up to capacity!

Life on board still continues....

Getting some great sailing in before dismantling old navigation equipment and installing the new.

W at the wheel

Another Wandrin Star at the boatyard!  What are the chances of that?

The brightest moon of the year - just beautiful!

(all the men here seem to be named John....makes for less confusion)

First project on new navigation equipment installation - new wind bird on the top of the main mast, which will show wind direction and strength.

This:

New wind bird

had to go here:

In position on top
of the main mast

which involved another mast climb for Mr Man.  He's very good at that now!
